Consumers Report Relief from These Conditions When Using CBD
Posted: December 23, 2019
Anecdotal consumer reports are abundant when it comes to the success stories of CBD. But don't take my word for it. Let's look at some of the firsthand reports from consumers on how CBD helped them to achieve a higher quality of life.
Before we dive into the stories of people just like you, lets take a minute to refresh ourselves with CBD. Cannabidiol or CBD for short was first discovered by an organic chemist named Roger Adams in 1940. It would be another 23 years before CBD would be full elucidated. Up until this point, the information we had about CBD was minimal.
Jump forward to the new millennia, and that has changed. Over the past few years, we have seen an epic surge in demand for CBD rich products. What caused this to happen though? There is no one answer that is correct. One of the answers though holds more weight than most when answering the question of lit the fire that made CBD so smoking hot.
Some believe the public demand for CBD grew after a cannabis strain named “Hippies Failure” or “Hippies disappointment” came into light. This strain would later go on to become a CBD rich cannabis strain known as Charlotte's Web. This name in part because of an extraordinary little girl by the name of Charlotte Figi, who used the strain to help treat a rare form of epilepsy she had called Dravet's syndrome epilepsy.
Quite possibly, one of the most influential individuals in the medical community Dr. Sanjay Gupta even changed his stance on cannabinoid therapies after seeing success firsthand. Here is what Dr. Sanjay Gupta had to say to the public.
"It doesn't have a high potential for abuse, and there are very legitimate medical applications. In fact, sometimes, Marijuana is the only thing that works… It is irresponsible not to provide the best care we can as a medical community, care that could involve Marijuana. We have been terribly and systematically misled for nearly 70 years in the United States, and I apologize for my own role in that."
As you can see, these aren't the words of a person who is unsure as to the effectiveness of cannabinoid therapies. Dr. Gupta embraced change, just like so many others have. Every mammal on the planet has an endocannabinoid system or ECS for short. The ECS is a unique and essential part of the body that helps to regulate cellular function and aids the body in achieving homeostasis. It works with cannabinoids like those found in CBD vape oil, CBD oil, CBD edibles, and other CBD rich products.
What Others Aare Saying About CBD
The reports of the effectiveness of CBD working to help treat PTSD have managed to reach the ears of researchers. The VA Office of Research and Development, in collaboration with the University of California, San Diego are conducting a study on CBD and PTSD. “The study represents the logical and innovative next step for augmenting existing treatments and developing novel pharmacotherapy for PTSD.”-NIH
You can read all sorts of personal accounts of how CBD helped someone online. In 2018 the search for CBD increased on Google by more than 150%. CBD was up there in searches with ecteronic cigarettes and yoga, according to an article by Good Morning America.
An 11year-old boy named Billy Caldwell, who lives in the UK, was having horrible seizures. He would have these seizures around 100 times every day. Any of these attacks could have taken his life. As of back in September of 2017, Billy had gone 300 days seizure-free thanks to CBD. Billy started his treatment in America, where cannabis had been legal since 2016. With the success of his treatment in America, doctors transferred his information and treatment back home to doctors in Northern Ireland. This led to Billy becoming the first person in the UK to receive a prescription for medical cannabis.
CBD oil isn’t just changing the lives of people, but it’s changing the lives of people’s pets too. A man from Suffolk, named Steve Watson, says he saved the life of his dog Titch by using CBD to help control his seizure disorder. Steve said, "after I'd been giving it to him for a few weeks, his fits stopped completely, and I'm confident that I'm completely controlling his fits with CBD. It's also helped with his appetite and water intake, he even sleeps better."
Kerri Parker of Norwich, a former Playboy model and winner of Miss UK and MS Europe, was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2013. She had it treated and though she was in the clear till the cancer came back in 2018. Kerri refused the treatments suggested by most doctors and chose to treat herself using a high THC cannabis oil known as RSO. Her success is a staple of what cannabis is capable of. Kerri told the world in an interview, "I thought brain cancer would kill me, but now it's not going to. Now I finally have a life – Ms. World's not my last pageant. I've proven them all wrong; doctors here told me cannabis doesn't cure cancer and that it'll kill me, they actually told me it would make it worse and that it only works in kids. They scared me so much I was ready to sign my life and career away to have chemo and radiotherapy, but not now. If I can shrink half my brain of cancer, I'll shrink the other half. I'll shrink it down, so there's not a single cell left that can ever replicate." Seeing what CBD has done for these folks, imagine what it could do for you.
